Your student will be given a pass to give to the teacher for dismissal, and he/she will meet you at the attendance window to be signed out. Student dismissal notes will need to be delivered to the attendance window before the start of the school day. If your student has an appointment during the day, please write a note explaining the reason they are leaving and the time the student will be picked up. Excessive tardies and unexcused absences will result in truancy filings. ![]() Be sure to check the school calendar prior to making travel arrangements or purchasing tickets. Absences from school to extend holidays are discouraged. After three school days, notes may not be accepted and the absences may be deemed unexcused. on the day the student returns to school. Notes should be given to the attendance office before 9:00 a.m. Notes from a doctor may be submitted in lieu of a parent note. Phone number where the parent or guardian may be reached.When a student is absent and returns to school, by state attendance laws, he or she must present a written note from the parent or guardian even if a parent or guardian called the attendance line. Any student out of school for reasons other than those listed above will be considered truant, and the absence will be unexcused. ![]() Any time a student misses school resulting from personal illness, illness or death in the family, quarantine, weather or road conditions making travel dangerous, or any other unusual cause acceptable to the principal, the absence will be considered excused. ![]()
